Department of Pathobiology

The faculty members of the Department of Pathobiology are active in teaching and productive research in different subjects including Pathology, Immunology, Bacteriology and Bacterial Diseases, Virology and Viral Diseases, Mycology and Fungal Diseases, Parasitology and Parasitic Diseases, and Biotechnology. The well-equipped labs of this department support teaching and research activities in Immunology, Virology, Parasitology, Bacteriology, Mycology, and Cell Culture. In addition to teaching and research activities, this department supports laboratory services for the faculty’s clinic. For example, the Pathology section provides autopsy and histopathology.
The Department of Pathobiology has been offering postgraduate programs such as a Ph.D. program for Biotechnology and Parasitology since 2007, a Master’s program for Parasitology since 2009, a Master’s program for Bacteriology since 2011, a Ph.D. program for Veterinary Pathology, and a Ph.D. program for Bacteriology since 2015.
