Dr. Qasem Barati Darband, a faculty member of the Materials Engineering Department of Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, was introduced as the Outstanding Young Researcher in Materials Engineering, by the Academy of Sciences in 2024.

This ceremony was held to commemorate Engineer's Day and honor the outstanding engineers of the country in 2024 selected by the Academy of Sciences of the Islamic Republic of Iran, which on February 23.

In the meeting Dr. Mohammad Reza Mokhbar Dezfuli, President of the Academy of Sciences, and Ali Akbar Salehi, Deputy Director of the Academy, were present and 13 outstanding engineers of the country were honored.
